Lethrian signing up. Priamry champion secondary Minstrel. Can come with either one but prefer my champ. Roll for shoulders.
Doubt I will be picked though :( I think Bothorn is mad with me :( I missed the last event again although it was really not my fault. I logged in at about 6:30 and I swear I saw that the raid was canceled so never logged back in again :( I am not sure if I misread smth or I was halucinating but I was sure we were not having the event. Hope I still get a chance to Raid with you guys.

Skel, was that a genuine cancel, or are you available after all?

Beoras
15 Jul 2009, 15:39
I see that Evelynn has been chosen to go instead of my captain, although I posted my availability/interest before. This is perfectly fine with me, I am more for a "core group of experienced players" than "first come first serve" approach. We do the same in my kinship, I strongly believe this approach is the way to go for very difficult raids while they are not yet on farm.

However, could you please make two changes to your raiding organization? Namely:

- specify in the first post that it's not first come first serve. So that the others, non-core players, should know what to expect. Rhyaehar explicitely stated that in a raid organized one month ago, I thus expected something different for this raid.

- let the reserves know they are reserves in advance, to allow them to make other plans. Take my case: should I avoid making plans for tonight in case you'll need a 2nd captain? Or should I simply consider that, if another captain has been marked in bold in the first post, I am free to do whatever I want? When will I know?

I have a busy real life with wife and baby, I cannot raid every single evening. Whenever I can attend one of your raids, I am letting you know. If, for whatever reason, you don't need me, it's ok. However, don't expect me to hang around in game just in hope I get lucky and get picked for that raid despite what the list is showing.

It's stated in the rules here (http://www.raidsrus.com/forum/showpost.php?p=67&postcount=1). Under the "How we assemble a raid". I never assume I'm in, unless I'm in bold.

If your not in bold your free to cancel whenever you like without any problems from me and I dont expect anyone to hang around to see if they "get lucky". It taken us ages to get him down again so for now I try to take people I know I can rely on, thats nothing against you I just have no idea who you are or what experiance you have in this case.

Thank you for the clarification. Again, I would do the same in your case, I completely agree with your reasoning in forming your group.

What I was suggesting is that you state this in your first post (for the next raids): on what basis you will form the group and the thing about the "freedom of the non-bolded". Simply to avoid confusions (I usually hope I'm not the only person who doesn't understand something, makes living my life easier :)

...so for now I try to take people I know I can rely on...

But that way you wont find more ppl whom you can rely on....

A bit of a shame we didn't get it this time, we had a few decent tries. As more often, defeating it once takes practice, taking it down regularly takes more practice...

To Rukis,

I've been with Raids'R'Us for quite some time, I'm one of the "old guys", but by far not one of the oldest. I can honestly say that for almost every class we have a number of "new guys" that get into the raid, and after that get into raids more often. Unfotunatly we are, as a whole group, not large enough to go out every night, or run more raids on one night. I too spend a number of nights at Bree west gate, hoping for a chance into Helegrod or the Rift. All I can say: show your best side when you get a chance, and I'm sure you'll get in more often.
