Ok well im not really into running this turtle 20 times tryin to win 6 of these barter coins for a 1st age weapon sooooooooo I was goin to suggest we have ppl sign up for it formally, do a run, raid leader takes all 3 coins (thats what he drops) then go again the first time it resets for us, shouldnt be more than a day or two since the locks are twice a week and on top of that they seem to be broke and resetting more, go again raid leader takes the next 3 coin so that 6, enough for a 1st lvl60 weapon. The raid members then roll and whoever wins tells the raid leader what he wants weapon/class item and the leader trades them in and passes it to the lucky sod.

These coins are just like Tablets you cant trade em but you can exchange them for whatever you like and trade it to whoever you like so theres no problem there.

I'll make this a sign up sheet here now and if your interested and we'll say for now this thursday the 9th @ 7pm bst. Also feel free to post your opinions and thoughts on this.

Not sure how this works when some people might make the first raid and not the second and then you have replacements in the second run, so do people who do both get 2 rolls and people who can only make 1 get 1 roll?

I have meeting Thursday, but the time is not set yet, so I don't know if I will be home in time for this, but if I am I would be ready for as many as 5 Filikul raids in a row. ;)

Loremaster, captain and minstrel good to go here, could also bring my burglar, but truth be told, I'm still figuring out how to get some milage from my trait lines, weapons and all that. Lousy gear as well. As for coin drops... too many suggestions, ideas and thoughts on that. Not too fussed about how we will handle it in the end, as long as I feel I get some goodies for efforts.

I can see some issues with the system where one person win an item after two runs. As it has been said above, what if there are new persons in the 2nd raid, who are going to roll then?

If we want to do this, I think it would be beter to implement some kind of dkp system, to make it slightly more fair for those that contribute most.

I am happy with whatever you raid leaders comes up with, as long as I feel that its fair, and that I have a chance to get something usefull out of it in the end.

... If we want to do this, I think it would be beter to implement some kind of dkp system, to make it slightly more fair for those that contribute most...

Contribute most to what? I would see a filikul run as a self-contained, closed thing. Whoever is there contributes to the completion of it, another filikul run is another matter.

I am fine with the system proposed by the OP, although I do see the same organizatorial issues mentioned by others. You might have to combine it with a list of winners though, so that the one winning goes to the bottom of it after winning. And this has major flaws too. Also, how do handle alts on this? It would have to be account-wise, not alt-wise, i think.
Still, it would be much better than a silly DKP system -- all imho, other opinions reserved 8-)

Personally, I just think it'd be fairest to assign all 3 coins to the account rolling highest, and just say that this account can't win anymore on rru runs for the duration of this specific lock phase. But again, that's just my opinion...

When I was thinking about a dkp system, I think of all raids in a whole. If one person atends to say 10 filikul raids and never wins anything, is it then fair that on the 11'th run one newcomer comes in and wins a 1'st ager, because he got the coin drops from this and the former raid?

If we treat one run as one run alnoe, then there is not much use of a dkp system, but rather roll on what drops there and then and distribute acordingly. Like a normal pug group works.

No matter how we do this there might be flaws, but as I said, as long as I have a chance to get something, and I feel its fair, im happy.

Ack right listen I wasent thinking of making this a permanent thing, just do it twice with teh same group, yes theres complications and yes only 1 person get a weapon for 2 runs, aside from the filikul 1st agers that drop still. but as it is right now, your gonna get 6 coins over a period of what 10 runs? I doubt even that, I was just tryin to set sumthin up, if you feel like you might be cheated ect then dont come, problem solved.

Oh ye of little faith! *grins* The Raid Leaders have been trying to work out a fair system of distributing Barter Coins since long before Bk8 came out. There are problems with any solution. It's still being discussed, but since the barter system is now here, Bothorn has to make some kind of decision as to how he's going to assign any that are won in his raids.

Let me make something quite clear to everyone - everything about any raid; be it loot distribution, tactics, group balance, who they pick; is ultimately down to the person leading it. Always. Bo's choice is Bo's choice. You will never hear backchat about it from myself, Rhy, or any of the other Raid Leaders. We can choose to do things differently in our raids & you'll never hear any backchat from Bo either. That's how RRU works.

Rest assured, everything you're starting to raise concerns about, we've long since discussed. Leave it with us; when we've come up with something we think is fair & workable, the rules will be posted for all to see. But it won't be dkp as such, because all of us think that's a system that is wholly unfair to newer members, or those who can't raid as much, or those who just don't get picked as often. Justice For All! Or something... ;)

i like the idea , means at least one person mabye two benifits and actually gets the weapon they want/need , as for the what if i cant turn up for second raid , there is one way to sort that , dont sighn up if you cant make both
