Commiseratio Congratulations! I'm Your Raid Leader for the evening. If you look to your left & right you will see there are... NO emergency exits - you're in here untill you all die!!! Hahahahaha.... ;)

There are two reasons for this thread. The first is to give you some idea of what to expect. The second is so that you can offer some feedback on that.

When DN came out, the overwhelming majority of responses to a poll that I ran was that we should try to crack the place for ourselves, not to run off looking for someone else's guide / hints. Please respect this. RRU is not an egotistical, uber-l33t, raiding guild, whose very existence depends on pillaging the place end-to-end before anyone else does. I would hate to have to kick someone from a raid for spoiling things for the rest, but I also won't hesitate to do it. We have so far eliminated the first 4 bosses without reference to any external information. We are now at the Blind One, where we haven't yet made a serious attempt. If we get stuck there over several separate attempts, that's the time for a bit of intelligence work; but up to now, we've conquered each new part of the raid ourselves. Every effort will be made to keep it that way.
No spoilers are to be posted in this thread.
DN is a two day raid. The Twins are still tricky, the 3 Globsnagas are not. Ideally, we should be able to clear the first 4 bosses on the first day, leaving us day 2 to try to crack the nut that is Mr B.O. At the moment the raid runs either Thu / Fri, or Thu / Sun.

Because of the BoAcq status of Nimrodel Emblems, I have to do all leading from Angrenel. Since normally I don't take more than 2 LMs, this does unfortunately restrict the opportunities for other LMs to take part. Either someone else needs to volunteer to lead, or cross everything and hope that the shared storage space coming in the next expansion includes Nimrodels (though I doubt it). We do need another active RL for this place. Hirion is tied up with Waterworks Rumbles (Turtle & Squid), so we need someone to step up to the plate, if you want more than one attempt a week at DN.

There is much information around the forums - there's a TS guide, class guides, a raiding guide, & more. Please familiarise yourself with it. It makes everyone's lives easier if I don't have to train you up on the spot! The last thing to say is remember that this is a high radiance raid. You need 55 equipment raidance as a bare minimum, and you will have to buy destiny hope to go with that. The more radiance you have, the better. Please remember to include your current Radiance total (not the number of pieces, the total) when signing up.

Concerning the radiance needed, here is a "guide" I made for my kinship. Feel free to use it as you want.

RADIANCE ARMOUR PIECES

The radiance armour pieces belong to 3 categories:

Tier 1 (T1) giving 10 radiance / piece:
- boots (platinum coin of courage from Grand Stairs (GS) hard mode)
- leggings (platinum coin of resolve from Skumfil hard mode)
- gloves (platinum coin of hands from Fil Gashan (FG) hard mode)
- chest (platinum coin of strength from Forges hard mode)
- shoulders (iron coin of fortitude from 16th Hall hard mode)
- helm (iron coin of knowledge from Dark Delvings (DD) hard mode)
- shoulders (platinum coin of heart from the Watcher raid)
- helm (platinum coin of spirit from the Watcher raid)

Tier 1.5 (T1.5) giving 15 radiance / piece:
- gloves (from B8 3-man instance in Zirazigil called Lumul-Nar (LN) run 4 times in hard mode)
- leggings (from B8 3-man instance in Waterworks called Nala-Dum (ND) - run 4 times in hard mode)
- chest (from B8 6-man instance near Forges/FG called Crafting Halls (CH) run 7 times in hard mode)

Tier 2 (T2) giving 20 radiance / piece:
- boots (from Dar Narbugud (DN) raid's first boss)
- shoulders (from Dar Narbugud (DN) raid's second* boss)
- helm (from Dar Narbugud (DN) raid's third* boss)
- gloves (from Dar Narbugud (DN) raid's fourth* boss)
- leggings (from Dar Narbugud (DN) raid's fifth boss)
- chest (from Dar Narbugud (DN) raid's sixth boss)

* bosses 2-4 in DN can be done in any order

Concerning armour "sets", the 2 T2 pieces from the Watcher form a 6-piece set with the 4 T1 complementary ones. The 3 T1.5 pieces form a set and the 6 T2 pieces from T2 form another (only 5 pieces of this last set are needed to get "full" set benefits).

Radiance effects "round down", i.e., 75 radiance works the same as 70 radiance, giving 7 hope.

RAIDS

Turtle
- locks reset twice per week
- doesn't need radiance
- might drop one of the coins for T1 pieces

Watcher
- locks reset twice per week
- has 140 gloom (lowered from 150 before)
- minimum need of 50 radiance from armour + 50 from token = 40 gloom which is just enough to not cower
- the more radiance from armour, the better, 90 being the maximum needed (from 120 possible in game)
- drops the coins for the two T2 pieces

Dar Narbugud
- locks reset once every week
- normal mobs have 110 gloom, bosses have 160 gloom
- minimum need of 70 radiance from armour + 50 from token = 40 gloom which is just enough to not cower
- the more radiance from armour, the better, 110 being the maximum needed (from 120 possible in game)
- each boss drops one coin for one of the T2 pieces

None of the instances requires radiance armour. Helegrod/Rift radiance bonus is only +10 (not +30 like before). Destiny points can buy you +10 radiance (lasting 30 minutes) too.

Brought my initial post up to date, changed the title, deleted those replies that are now irrelevant. This is not a guide to DN (I will be starting work on that sometime soon); but if you are new, it should give you some idea of what is going on.
