View Full Version : Any and all radiance instances, any evening...
Hello guys,
as i near level 60 (25% left) i think it's time for me to start doing radiance runs. Now....i've only been to skumfil and GS so far, so i'm not that experienced in running those instances, but a quick learner and not too lame either hehe (at least i think so, Raed will prolly tell you otherwise).
So what i'd like to do, is set together a group of people, who either want radiance gear, or just wanna help out and run radiance instances. I don't mind to help out anyone who needs the help, my preference would be to do it until all get what they desire, although it might get a bit tedious i guess.
Anyone interested? :)

Warning, wall of text to follow.
If you're after instances that are quick to run, so that everyone can get what they want, you're mostly looking at Grand Stairs (GS), Skumfil or the Forges as a close third.
GS can take as little as 15 minutes a run, but i have a feeling you've done that one with us (not that i'd mind gonig back, some of the best items in the game come from there and i have a lot of slayer deeds left to do).
Skumfil is about 15 minutes if you have someone along who has the key to the final boss (which you're pretty much guarenteed to have). Its fast, pretty easy with a good group and has a lot of IXP runes, but not much else to offer.
Forges takes slightly longer, at about 35 minutes if you don't exploit, but would still be very much possible to get 3 or 4 tokens from a run (and if me and Hal are there, you'd already have 2 people who do not need them).
As for the others, DD can be done in about 35 minutes by exploiting like mad, but those types of exploits really frustrate me so i'd not come along on that run (essentially makes you invincible when fighting the bosses, not exactly interesting). 16th hall and Fil Gashan both take upwards of an hour with little to offer in the way of rewards, so people are not as keen to run them.
I'd say go for the forges, probably the most interesting of the three quick ones.
i will not promote any exploit runs, i don't find that kind of play amusing although i understand people who did it a million times and wouldn't like to waste time in there by doing it the "proper" way.
yeah i was in GS, but we got smoked by the last boss, somehow unable to take him down...i had shite gear, was taking too much dmg, etc etc.
so basically, i'm up for any of the coin dropping instances and wanna help out others too, that's why i play the game in the first place...

Let me see... He hasn't learnt to stand still yet, particularly where his jaw is concerned... Think we can dispense with the "lame" accusation, anyway... He's short, bald, ugly, & gobby even for a dwarf (or so Eikin tells me). Apart from that he's alright, I guess?

Fil G has a couple of very nice bits n bobs. mainly the memorial plaque for pocket and gobulas the earring, both very nice. But it's a long haul like you say and those arent common drops.
let me thank our guys for a great funny GS yesterday and for the boots + insidous cuff. looking forward to do more! :)
thanks!
