Carn Dûm Class Item Run - 8th April

I have got both keys (Ornate Gate and Ion Grate) and the camp site to directly port there. So as soon as we have all gathered, we are good to go.

We will be doing Barashal, Helchgam and Mormoz. Other bosses depend on people needing the class items.

I can ask some hints for tanking from the more experienced champions like Barowine :)

Well, despite the fact that the beginning of the run was more than improvable, I spare the details for now, it went quite well. We managed to get the slime from Helchgam and almost got Mormoz, but we wiped there the first time. We then decided to call it a night, because one of the group left and we didn't find a replacement.

We would like to do the next Carn Dûm run in two parts if possible, first get up to Mordirith, which should be fairly straight forward given that we can skip both Helchgam and Azgoth. Once we get this lock, we can come back on the next day to finish him off and get the trophy.

Any suggestions, comments or complaints, feel free to post them here.

Problem with Carn Dum is it's locks last only 10 hours.

Last night Feandil was locked, because he had been there night before ... so he had locks at least 15 hours after leaving Carn Dûm on the day before.

So it seems that if Kuni wants to try Mormoz again tonight, she should have locks to go straight there. Moreover Feandil is not locked anymore and we did not do Azgoth last night, so Feandil would be more than willing to go ... :Y

I am almost sure that we can gather a good group for doing only 2- bosses, knowing that all of us have so many good friends in the game ;) and it should not take too long either

What do you think Kuni and others ?

P.S. I feel I am responsible for Kuni not getting the Mormoz item since the net connection from my country to the game servers disconnected at the start of Mormoz fight. I guess this was the main and only reason for wipe :?

Joerg suspects its a on the day reset, so you dan start on Monday, finish tuesday and Wensday morning it resets for sure
Oh Feantur that purple mace was no problem whatsoever....Joerg is the one who still needs rune of winged dominance
and I cant make it tonight, because I am celebrating with a friend who has finished her master thesis :)

What i need is an Urugarth Run with Alwing but I want to coordinate this with Rhy/Hals schedule for the Rift

Good luck with your master's thesis Kuni :) I recommend that you do not spend too much time with it though ... I can tell from my own experience that not so many people are going to read it anyway ;) Even if you spend 2 years with it like I did being the perfectionist I am :? . And you know what they say: master's thesis is the last project you will ever finish :shock: (in a way or another)

Thanks for the Mace, I´ll look into my letters tomorrow as im droppin dead just now
and just for the record: I am studying for 10 years already and I write on and off on my diploma for four years....I am no perfectionist I jus wanna get it finished and a real job because studying and working is less than suboptimal....
I know that noone will read my thesis, which is depressing, because even the fastest and dirtiest thesis needs lots of time and money.... hope it will pay off some day, and i second your experience ;)
so, enough rant... I am happy to make a run with anybody in need :)

We tried to get the rune of winged dominance for Joerg again tonight and after struggling to get group full we were ready for a quick run for Mormoz and Azgoth only. In addition to Joerg and Feandil there was Bregowine the guardian, Kallis the burglar and 2 lucky pick up members: captain and hunter.

Mormoz was quite easy even without minstrel since Kallis arranged us some nice FM opportunities which we used to the max of course :Y But since Joerg rolled 1 for the rune, it went to the other hunter :cry:

After Mormoz our tank had to leave so we decided to try Azgoth with 5 ppl and me as a tank. Luckily I had my heavy shield with me and after a little practice with elite mobs I got the hang of it. So we defeated Azgoth easily with only 2 adds :)
But of course no Hill-defender sword drop so Feandil is still available for any CD runs which include Azgoth

I'd like to thank Feantur for organizing a quick Carn Dûm run on such a short notice. Of course I was sad, that I didn't get the rune this time around, but I was shown that Mormoz can be reached quite easily with the group we had, so it's only a matter of time till I get my last class item from that sucker.

I'd also like to thank the other participants of the run, everyone was knowing what they were doing, so it was very nice to be part of that group.

On the other hand, if I may add, I'd like to do some more BG runs as well, there's a certain bow that needs a new owner. :twisted:
