I wondered if anyone had heard/seen any feedback on the B7 Waterworks Raid from US sources?

I want to be clear that I don't want any spoilers here or content...just a general feeling of "was it worth waiting for" or such.

Hal

Why not just wait a bit. We'll find out for ourselves soon enough... ;)

Something similar to... Bk14 Ch7 was it? Collecting all that Lore? Fair enough, as long as they've given an interesting take to it again, & it's not simply a grind.

tougt so and then some quests.

rewards:"
They will be releasing a 12-man Pre-Watcher raid against the giant turtle Nornuan - 700k HP turtle. This raid rewards second ages, and so far some radiance pieces (non-set pieces, but still give +1 hope regardless). Basically, a transition raid into The Watcher raid".

Sounds like turbine are being lazy and reusing the boss from the Tomb of Elendil. Buff him up, change a couple of letters in the name and stick him in an existing raid and pretend its a whole new "transition" raid.

I imagine if it's supposed to be a lead on to the watcher with lower quality loot then it will be easier, 2nd age drops your say, I have read that come book7 3rd weapons are even more inferior compared to 2nd and 1st age dps ratings than before making them essential for dps classes.

Any news concerning the new lair raid err instance Faya? Since it's been locked down by Turbine? Will we have to wait before we can start the handing in? Will we have the possibility to hand it in, only to find it locked further?

The new raid will be locked upon Book 7 going live. I can't answer about the hand ins at this moment, asking about that now and will let you know when I have an answer.

No raid till Patch 2. Probably not even being able to do the hand-in quests yet, so we'll be waiting a lot longer.

Hmm

On reviewing the thread I've come to the conclusion that "community editor" actually means "patience of a saint and no chance of job satisfaction or an easy day" ! :s

If I could post on the thread I'd say...hang in there Faye and Satine...don't let the bitching get to you.

However maybe that's because I'm English and we find it impossible to complain (unless you are missing a gene like Raedwulf!!!)

Problem with the "Community" liaisons is that they're taking a beating for the absolutely terrible service and actions that CM is displaying, along with the lack of participation by Turbine developers in our forum. For months, if not years, the EU community has claimed it feels treated as if second class citizens, and rightly so. The US get a lot of extra benefits which we can only hope to get. If we get them, it's after a long long wait (take Lorebook for example).

Now with this Book 7 patch, they're messing it up terribly. This is not a free content book, this is content that was promised to us (and paid for) with the Mines of Moria expansion. Turbine is just not keeping it's promises. By lack of the primary target (Turbine), disgruntled players will turn to Codemasters. Again, rightly so. We pay more subscription fee, we get less service. Is it wrong for players to act in such a way?

The point is, Hal, most people don't bitch at Faya & Satine. In fact, a lot of posters take the trouble to say "we know it's not down to you two", or even defend CM when it's obvious it's a Turbine problem. But I do think this time CM have also been busy with the spade. I'm perfectly happy to wait for a bug free Bk7. Others aren't. But the way they're releasing this one, I think almost everyone will be moaning at them for the next few days. Except for a lucky few, I doubt anyone much is going to be playing tomorrow because we'll all be stuck in the download queue. And that's a situation no-one will be happy with! I may be proved wrong, but I think this is going to have been a worst of all worlds decision...
