Right...RRU have been pussyfooting around this for long enough....
Watcher Raid
I'm fairly certain that you can survive in there if you have at least 5/6 Radiance pieces. So if you fit the bill then sign up below.
I have no idea on tactics or group mix (other than hearing you need lots of Hunters and Minstrels!!)....but that's not really the point. Let's go...have fun...die a lot....and see what happens
I hope you are up for it.

A cunning plan... The flaw, of course, being the 5/6 radiance. "You must sign up", sez Hal to me in-game. Well, you'd better pull yer finger out over the w/e & help me get 2 bits of radiance gear if you want the best LM! I've only 3/6...
Oh, and I for one think it would be nice if we actually worked out how to do it for ourselves. Rather than simply google someone else's tactics.

Sil and I are attending a wedding, so no go. Also, keep in mind that with 5/6 radiance pieces, you're also going to need destiny point hope.

I quite agree, however some people have at least been in there (up to second stage) so I think we can use the knowledge of "this happens now"....how we deal with that thing should be our choice :P

Weekdays are no longer an option for me, as I have to get up at 6 (that's 5 GMT), and besides, the best LM still has no radiance gear at all, eventhough Raed says I'm 3/6 :P
Maedlin can come so sign me up as a minstrel :)
Ruf
Since Evelynn aquired her fifth piece tonight, another captain is also available now.

Milgarion can be a tentative reserve for this, but I'm supposed to be running 16th Hall with Kin for my last radiance piece from 7pm UK.
/tell me in game if you need a champ and I'll let you know if I'm free.

For those of you that were not in the Raid I thought I would share our experiences (without spoiling it for you).
In summary we did much better than I expected.
Our group (by necessity) was not necessarily the ultimate group, however we coped very well with the first phases of the fight, and after a couple of "training" runs we had the tactics sorted out to survive with maybe only 1-2 deaths through to the final part against the Watcher.
the main problem was a lack of DPS and control of the Watcher damage (with no Loremaster) for the final stages and we made little progress against him (maybe 5% of his health )
Altogether it was a fun experience and I recommend that RRU organise some more runs to test our metal further.
Thanks to everyone for taking part and for Giladren for the initial pointers.....

Thanks for the non-spoliers, Hal! ;) Raed is now 60 & 1 of 6, alongside Ang who is 3/6, so if I get a hand getting radiance gear, you might get a choice of LM & dps!
i have a captain who is 2/6 (forges/GS) but having done fil gashan and 16th hall about 10 times each i'm so disillusioned of not getting a single decent roll that i'm not sure if i can be bothered getting the full set.
couldn't we just use a balrog or thorog hope to cover us? i can imagine some of us have alts in the 50 region who'd appreciate the rift/helegrod drops
(or wont that work?)

When we went in after our "training" runs we popped over to Rivendell first and picked up a Balrog hope buff. So even with this and a full set, and a minstrel using +1 hope..and a captains hope banner...it's still tough :)
Hal :)
Having said that Rhy was trying to run a impromptu rift run last week, so maybe that will happen more :)

No. Rhy was just trying, as usual. The fact that we were in The Rift was merely coincidental... ;)
