.....aiding poor me
Yesterday i did a couple of Cloak runs with Giladren (it didnt drop) and asked to make some HM runs in between for my minstres quest and the coin.
Thanks to Gil by the way... and Thrawneekaran is a very good leader, if you ever see a PUG group asking!
Long tale short: after a few changes of members---lucky Salogel!!!, we gained 4 coins and i lost every time---
Yes, you wont believe it, my famous luck ran out. I even died 2 times in Feign Death due to poison.
I want that coin!!!
Since Daphne (GRD) and Evelynn (CPT) need it too, and i am a MNS, we are three--
we´d need at least one champion for the multiple adds and DPS (Champion runekeepers Hunters feel free to come)
Therefore we make at least 3 coin runs. Other seekers of coin are welcome, but pls be aware that i would like to stay them through till everyone has his or her coin!
due to cooldown of FD and Hobbit Stillness, only 2 coin Runs can be made in sequence.
3rd run is for cloak (and my CD incidentially)
That is of course assuming that all runs perfect.
We can do quest mode or more cloak runs afterwards if it is of interest
Coin boss also drops Golden Earring, which is very good (Hunters esp)

Uhh.. 18:00. I read that as 8PM to start with. Tiermond was aiming for a Nimminas run for same at @19:30. If you see him, Tari & Rhye around you might ask to join forces (I probably won't be on, or I'd offer to help).
Well we picked up Tiermond later (after the pug LM ran off on us) so .... 7 successful runs later 5 more RRU members now have pantage!
And I feel really really dead after several hours of dancing round acid puddles ... ugh
*does a slow collapse

p.s.: have I ever mentioned that I HATE spiders?
p.ps.: and if you do it right you can do it with 2 guardians, a burglar, a captain, minstrel and one hunter ... champions or Loremasters aren't essential!

Try it with a Captain, Minstrel, LM and Hunters ;)

No class is essential, dear, I thought you knew that? Except for Minstrels, occasionally... I think I shall have to quote my LOTRO forum signature.
Good players adapt; bad players whinge! Which are you?
(Thankfully bad players on RRU are few & far between!)

You do not need champion Kunie :) You can as well take other DPS.
Unfortunatelly neither me nor Rhy can't help. (no Love, you can't :P) But I'll be going back home on 19th so next week I can lend my bow for the cause, if you still need coins.
PS. Remember you need someone with the key!

Something i heard a while back that i think holds true for minstrels in Moria
"You can heal damage, but you can't heal stupid".
Essentially we can't cover up for people making mistakes, like we could once upon a time since our heals don't improve past 50 without legacies. Having a burglar opening up fellowship moves for that constant stream of GGGBB, or the guardian/captain knowing when i am unable to get the essential heal across and keeping themselves going until i'm able to have saved my groups more often than i have.
Oh, and minstrels are required to throw hissy fits and threaten to walk out unless people bow down to them, its part of why we choose the class :)

Ahh minstrel's prerogative.

Yeah, but you do that as a BRG as well... :P

In fact Skûmfil is probably the only of the challenge mode instances that requires a minstrel - which secretly wants me to try it without one  - though having one usually makes things easier.
Try it with a Captain, Minstrel, LM and Hunters ;)
Don't forget we also brought a burglar! But you're forgiven as you made sure to mention the Captain first! 8-)
I'm strangely finding myself missing those fights in Skûmfil - of all the challenge mode grinds that one was the biggest blast.
Skûmfil hard mode doesn't require a minstrel, it only makes things easier. I've been in a group that was, after some failed tries, able to get to the point where you do the boss fight. You only have to know where to take your fights to, so to speak.
