Nye has suggested (http://www.raidsrus.com/forum/showthread.php?t=439) creating a Fellowship Manouver trainer so RRU members could train our leaders' favourive manouver setup, namely Ad hoc around the clock.

Hereby we present you v1.0.
The application is pretty simple and it only covers straight manouvers (the Around the clock combinations).

There's not much configuration to be worried about at the current state, you can only change Difficulty (the speed with which the manouver progresses; by default you get plenty of time to react) and Mode (you are either assigned a possition at which to contribute to at the begining of each round, indicated by a golder ring on Fellowship manouver display - Fixed position mode - or you can try to contribute at any given time - Full ad hoc mode).

Download Fellowship Manouver Trainer (http://www.raidsrus.com/files/FMTrainer.zip)

More functionalities might be added, but unfortunatelly not soon. Still, please feel free to post suggestions - they might be incorporated in later versions.
You can freely distribute it among your friends, but please do not hotlink it from Raids'R'Us server (link to this topic, not to download link).

Best regards,

Catheriel

I have a little problem with this... dont see the "golden ring" around my position in manouver.

Asking why? Because have some eye colour disfunction (no, im NOT colourblind! )

Thank for option "mark red/green/flashing" 8-)

I've made the player input marking lighter and hopefully more standing out.
If this doesn't help, please tell me and I'll think of something more aggresive :)

What a great little program very difficult.
I did notice though that if you are second in line it automatically fills in the selection for you. If only the real game would do this. :D

What exactly do you mean Bado? That it completes the FM after you've submitted your color? That's by design, as it's no point in having you wait X seconds for the computer to do it proper.

Nope, what I mean is that if the second circle is selected by the program as the one you should be filling in, it always does it for you. ;)

Which means that it completes the FM with you having to click a thing.

Try it for a while and you will see what I mean.

In fact I just tried it again and on the second round it selected the second target as the one to be filled, filled it self in and said congratulations without me having to lift a finger.

Yeah I had a bit of a problem with the 2nd circle .
I know what you mean but I don't think I'll have time to fix it anytime soon.... Just live with the fact that you can be lazy ;)

I downloaded the trainer (both versions)

Unfortunately, each time I load it to practice I get a jumbled interface. (See screenshot for what I mean)

Is there anything I can do to get it to work because it looks like a great way to learn.

Adding to our own tool here is a link (http://navsplace.net/cj/#interactive) to another fellowship trainer - it is not paced so it does not give the sense of urgency that Silirien's trainer does, but it can train the ability to see the patterns in FM. Also it is browser based.

Any objections to me linking this on my kin website? I would expect around 10 downloads, so hopefully not too much bandwidth.

Unfortunately this is a discontinued project by now. I don't even have the source anymore.
The Flash version Hirion provided is much better!

Culler, I think the Pub here is not a private forum, link to this thread if you can. Otherwise I'll move the topic to a public forum.

I will link the thread, as opposed to the download link. I believe it is public as I can view and download without being logged in to the website.

Not all - go for it - as long as you link to this thread and not directly to the download.

The Pub is, indeed, a public forum, so you should have no trouble.
