The first patch is the contents of the Moria DVD, so you can download and install it in advance. The second patch is required for all, even if you have already installed your MoM contents.

Sooo do ya install MoM from the disk before adding the Launch day Patch or after or does it not matter which order you do it in?

I'm slightly confused... You say that patch 1 is the full DVD. Does this mean that we just load patch 1 followed by 2, or do we need to install from the DVD as well (in which case before or after patch 1)?

Install the game from the DVD and then after that install the patch (part 2 of 2 above)....

Patch 1 is the full DVD contents. Installing this patch is the same as running the DVD installer.
Patch 2 is a patch which should have been on the DVD, but didnt make it in time.

This is programmers and turbine/codemasters are you sure logic applies here?

When they manage to reduce it to a single button and stop forcing us to think and/or read their patch notes Ill be much happier.

Well the beta version of the one button program will just format your hard-drive of course

I did begin to think the multi-button approach was going to do that for me earlier or at least force me to reinstall the game and 6(?) books before trying again. Downloading the launchday patch from Sydney was only mildly surreal.

Im now up to 2.02 (and failing to connect) and my account is upgraded so theres time to sleep before things unravel in the morning.

From now on, you will be referred to as Oddball! (Kelly's Heroes, for anyone that doesn't recognise Kal's quote...)
