Minor point....
Although the Hollin Gate technically opens on the 18th...don't you need to complete some or all of the public instance before it to get through??
Hal :)

And you think people won't be in Moria on the 18th? :P

I'll be taking a team of my close friends through on the 18th so we can power through the quests and so on, so we have 2 slots left.
so far we have
Me - minstrel - (tailor)
Threadbare - Capt - (jeweler)
Azzorin - Tank - (metalsmith)
Orophinir - Hnt - (woodworker)
we are trying to get a great 6 man without duplicates of class and craft so we all get what we want in MoM, wich would make it easer for the leader of the party (me) to assign items if needed.
We welcome any other class that is not a duplicate of any of our Crafts, For Everyone To Get what they want and/or need for there craft and class.
we obviously wont be doing the raid instances, but powering through the quests and books will help with our leveling and even grinding to get rare recipie's that drop.
just let me know if u interested or not, and i think it would be a good idea for some of you guys to set up the same kind of thing so we are not all left behind.

I can understand wanting to see the content quickly, but given the large numbers of players that will be going to Moria, you have 3 choices
1) Ahead of everyone
Rush ahead doing everything as fast as possible to keep ahead of the masses. You'll literally have to take the quest, read the objective and rush there as fast as possible, always trying to keep ahead and never stopping to explore or smell the flowers, if you slow down, you'll be overtaken and quickly join group 2...
2) Alongside everyone
Go with the masses and spend weeks fighting for enemies and items, like in Forochel but much much much worse
3) Behind the masses
Take your time, let them pass you and explore at your own pace so you still have content left for many weeks/months after they have rushed to the end and have nothing left to do but wait for the new patches.
Take a guess which one i'm doing ;)

Nah, he'll either be sneaky (because he's a BRG) or bloody awkward (cos he's a MNS) & do something entirely different that he's "forgotten" to mention... ;)
Incidentally, Mar, your theory isn't really going to work, given that you can cover all 10 professions in only 4 characters. Take a Scholar & you have a W/smith; take an Armsman & you have W/wrkr & W/smith again; your metalsmith is also a tailor, as is your Yeoman (cook / farmer / tailor) & Explorer. I'd agree that minimizing clashes as best you can may be desirable (e.g. don't take 3 Armourers), but overlap is unavoidable. Just thought I'd mention it in case you didn't realise.

yes thank you i realised thats why my team and i all agree'd to concentrate on our most important craft sectoon
hunter = woodworker
capt = jewel
mns = tailor
tank = metalsmith
and we only concentrate on those parts only. as we thought it was fair for us all to get up even though we do have slight clash's
thank you for pointing it out though.
