Nice idea, Nimf. This is one thing I've previously suggested to Rhy as something for some kind of database. LMs who have it, whatever their level, really should be using Knowledge of the Lore-master & screenshotting (F11) as much as possible so that we can build up a full library on the creatures of The Enemy! ;)

Working on it.. working on it. There's quite a bit to think about when setting this up you know..

I know! :) By the way, this probably belongs in the Class & Gameplay section. Not Raid & Instance... ;)

Been working on that Picture library myself, it seems Nimf covered pretty much everything.
It seems that once you figured the goblins weakness (light) that holds up for all goblins, only
Elite Masters occasionally break this rule.

Also (to LM's taking the screen shots) notice that several skills change these weakness. Tar and our
Raven's Benediction weaken fire resistence, our Bear has an armour rend that lowers common damage
resistence and minstrels have a warspeech attack that lowers light resistence.(there may well be
more that I'm not aware of)

The change this provides is rather significant as well, for instance, Spiders in Haudh Iarchith (Bree
Rep dungeon) have a "fair" fire resistence, with one skill(either Tar or Benediction) this changes
to "poor", with both it changes to "feeble"

How this effects our damage output is (I think, but still testing) not the amount of damage itself, but
the number of times skills get resisted (which ultimately makes us do more damage)

Great post btw...thank you

I think it would be worth adding to the post by talking about Greater Protection which is on the vault and lower mobs (all of them) in Sarnur.

Regardless of the base creature resistance the Greater Protection also virtually stops most kinds of damage. I'm bound to contradicted but I think that Ancient Dwarf is best followed by Light and Beleriad and the Common and Fire do no damage at all (almost)...not sure about Westernesse.

And looking forward to MOM we have a different buff/damage reduction...I'll not name it here for spoiler reasons.

Noti (& any other LM's watching...) - the time to take the screenshot is either before combat or immediately on starting. Info on the changes that the various debuffs inflict is more than useful; but for the library, we want the mob's base stats - not every group will have the right debuffer available...

Concerning Storvagon, we have sooo many Loremasters that we should keep him covered in tar and under Raven's Benediction so he is less resistant against Fire Dmg :)

I think that's a tactic worth trying on more monsters :Y

Hal - As far as I know, ONLY AD weapons are any good against the Sarnur debuff. You can use Fire & Light, but they're not great. Screenie of a Knowledge on the Gem-seeker outside attached. Incidentally, I've presently got about 30 or so of these screenie's available, mostly of high level stuff, inc. Raid Bosses. I don't propose to stick them all here at the moment cos they're presently about 0.5 Mb apiece.
