Preamble: Unless contradicted by anything below, the normal RRU raid rules apply.
This is not first come, first served. I pick who I see fit. End of {story / discussion / argument / delete as applicable}.
You can sign up for the Balrog only, but you will be strictly a reserve. I am not dropping someone who helped clear on the first two days in favour of someone that didn't.
I do not like hanging around waiting. Please be courteous to everyone else by being on-time.
I am perfectly willing to experiment. This may mean trying out new tactics, going in with an unbalanced or short group, inexperienced raiders, or whatever. We ought to be good enough to cope.
I have a boot & I'm perfectly willing to use it. I would rather be under-strength than have to put up with an idiot that doesn't listen or an incompetent that can't play or learn. Either is more likely to wipe the entire group than being 1 or 2 short. If the Balrog can be done with 6 (allegedly), anything else can be dealt with too.
Bearing in mind the previous clause, try to read the Raid Training Guide so you know what's expected of you, especially in regards to using the TS channel, & Fellowship manoeuvres.

One thing what isn't mentioned in there. You need 5 pieces of the set to roll for shoulders. NP, but does this also go for the rest? Because I'd like to roll for the helmet if that's ok.

Aik - you can freely roll on any of the first 5 pieces (i.e. pre-Rog) regardless of what you already have, so yes you'll be fine to roll for helm (presuming you get to go, of course! ;) ).

OK, by my reckoning we have 18 sign-ups, which is not enough to try to run 2 raids, particularly since at least 4 of the names are less than certain attendees across all 3 days. I'll update the roster sometime today (in between doing the occasional bit of work!), but that means disappointing 6 people, I'm afraid, the first 4 being those less-than-certains. Sorry guys & gals, but if I've got to drop a few people, you're the most vulnerable! So Rhye (only 2 days), Miktho (not certain for Wed), Mababa (PC / connectivity issues) & Marlain (possibly cancelling) - I'll give you a shout if I need you, but don't expect to be on the confirmed list this time round. Thanks for showing an interest though, & I'll try to accomodate you next time you put your names down...

OK, the roster is posted (although I haven't included the roll bonuses yet for anyone that has them...). In addition to the apologies above, apologies also to Aik & Rukis who have not been selected. Seven classes times 2 groups is 14, & I only have 12 slots! With 2 CPT & HNT, it's a CHM & GDN that have to give way (2 LM, BRG & MNS being a given if they're available). Better luck (or less people!) next time.

Those of you who have been selected, damn well make sure you're on time! I have half-a-dozen substitutes available if anyone's late... ;)

Last nights problems were a headset chord aparently that had been rolled over too many times with my chair, so I couldn't get any sound.
So befor tonights session I changed to regular minijack headset and had nice sound.
But it seems like this doesn't cooperate with the game, the server is kicking me and the machine restarts. Then I need to retry several times before I can even connect to the server, and it's not because I don't have a line, I can hear you on ts...

I'm not much of a technician, so I get real fed up when my 3 month old machine feks up like this. Can it be because it had a preinstalled Northon which I removed with a downloaded removable tool or is it likely that it doesn't work with my soundcard?

First, the sound & connectivity problems; second, since you've had your gem roll tonight & Mababa has subbed in both nights so far, I think it's only fair that he gets a chance to go tomorrow & make his roll (shoulders) if we manage to defeat Clarence.

So Baro out, Mababa in; Rufus I might need you on as Lucretia, depending on what Rhy & Deri think. Do we need 2 BRGs or are we comfortable with only one?

reasons for asking is , run one i sighned kal up for boot gem and lost as there was 3 people sighned up that week , run two i had to log my lm and watch 2 boot gems get trashed (cry)

Been thinking about the problem with enrage that was mentioned after I parachuted in.

Did the burglar (Deri?) have blind fury traited? Ive never used it, just the plain enrage, and since Mr T is anchored at that point and can't run at the burglar it could make things a bit weird.

Barring that i guess its just a codemasters nerf that they havent told us about.

Two points on that.

1. I avoided using enrage and let the hunters/guardians build up aggro as planned. I only used enrage if they lost aggro and could not get it back before the elf dropped below 10k morale (which did happen twice and gave us time to build up aggro again and heal her while he was flailing around at everyone).

2. I've always had it traited, so unless something about the fight has changed, i can't see why it would be making things any different than usual

I don't know if anyone else has heard of this but!!a very good friend told me about a Rift Raid they completed, but after killing the Balrog they where still in combat, when a ticket was sent in to the GM's the reply was " it is because you used a ( cant think of the word I want - when you use something you are not meant to, to make the fight easier ) so they had to rerun the whole last part, and kill all the adds from the 2 side rooms then all was OK. Just thought I would post it in case anyone else has heard of this.

"script" is about the only word I can think of that might provoke a response like that from the GMs! I can't think of anything, off the top of my head, actually in the game that you could use "when you're not meant to". If you've got it, you can use it; scripts are outside of the game.

Mortharan has "exploit" in mind, exactly what we are planning to do: trapping stuff in the room.
But, the GMs are not 100%, it can also happen due to bug when you have Darklings trapped in fountain rooms (if they spawn after elf is done) or in Everseer room. So in-combat after killing Roggie doesn't mean "exploit", not always that is.
