This style is still in beta, changes may still occur. If you see anything out of the ordinary, please let me know. Any suggestions or feedback is welcome.

Is there any function like 'show new posts since your last visit' that could be implemented?

and well ... its a bit ... white

You mean you did not spot the link "new posts (http://www.raidsrus.com/forum/search.php?do=getnew)" at the top of your screen?

Can barely read the white text that's around at times. Especially the "Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (1 members and 0 guests) " ....which I had to hightlight to read. 's not important text, but I want to read it anyway :D

apparently not .. which means a: I am blind (wouldn't surprise me) b: it wasn't there when I looked (wouldn't surprise me either as Im mildly paranoid) c: uhm *grins*

p.s: the dark background is already looking a lot nicer - personally I do love forum layouts that have a darker background under the text too ... the white hurts my eeeeyyyees. Or is there some alternative forum style where this can be changed? *goes to look*

I'd love a darker background under the posts as well, lets unite, create a task force and make those style desingers (well, just one) bow to our wishes! ;)

As for dramatic, how's this? Images will be changed anyway, so don't bother mentioning white edging.

Don't worry, ladies, you're not the first to have protested the white backgrounds. ;-) Personally, I don't see why we can't just resurrect the colours of the old forum. I liked them. I don't particularly like blue as a background colour, & I definitely don't like reading white text.

How's this ladies?

Silirien

If you changed anything, I don't see it :/
Tho I am old and blind so... matter not ;)

Right. now I see... that my sig is standing out >_<
And the buttons for editing, quoting and so on dont match, so maybe better leave it as it was for the time being.

* Rhyaehar does not care about the complaints of mortals.

Besides, the style chooser is available at the bottom of the forum and on your user control panel, you're not forced to use this BETA one.

The Blues ok, though as Raed said the old one (which was kind of brownish?) was pretty good but if you want to style it more with an eye towards the Moria expansion thats fine too - though the frame around the post (where the Info about the poster is) could maybe be a bit darker too (if possible)

Daphne

Ok ... the depth of color thats fine, and the way the color fades from the bottom looks very good ... but ... I'm not sure those two blues really match?

Uhhh if that wavy effect is intended and not just a bug ... please put it away it makes stuff VERY hard to read!

Rhyaehar
10 Sep 2008, 16:36
It was intended, but only very very very faintly, this was too much.

And now the rest of the white/light grey to the blueish theme? =3

Rhyaehar

Not typically style related, but a service announcement. I've made the field "kinship" a required field in your user profile and during registration. This will make it easier to pick out spammers, who usually fill in crap ;)

Ah yes, I made something like that a year or so ago when I did the forum style for my previous kinship.

They will be replaced when I find the time to do some proper photoshopping.

Updated a lot of the graphic icons to remove the pixelation.

Any ideas for topic icons are appreciated.

I don't mind those topic icons tbh... at least they are simple and clear - adding too much fancy graphics actually would make the site look worse...

Maybe something that might be usefull, when i'm reading long topics I have to scroll to the top (or press home ;) ), it might be easer if there is a button at the bottom to go back to previous screens or to the home screen of the forum. I can live with it as it is now, but it might be easier.

Rhyaehar

Hows this then?

Yes, exactly what I meant. :) A bit more easier for navigating around the site.

When editing a post in advanced mode, there are no references (smileys and BBCode list links), and I would love to see them there :)

Rhyaehar
20 Oct 2008, 16:53
Yes there are, if you have the editor set to "Standard Editor" or "Full WYSIWYG".
