So it is Tuesday and as of yet there is no Orthanc raid planned for this week. So unless someone wants to take it out of my hands I am going to attempt to lead a raid Thursday and Sunday (please do feel free to take it out of my hands). We seem to be struggling a little to complete 3 wings before the continental contingent falls asleep at the keyboard, so I am going to moot a 7:30 start, if not enough people can make it before 8 we will go with the usual start time.

Otherwise normal rules apply.

As you may have noticed we have no LM's signed up yet. If this doesn't change, Saffenanor I would like you to go 5 deep in The Trapper of Foes with the capstone so we have another 30s Daze. (I'm happy for you to swap roles with Warryn if your both happy with that.) If we do get a LM, could you still trait for fear. Tsu, I'm hoping to get another tank, but if we can't I'm afraid your up, sorry!

We'll be starting 7:30, getting the raid up to 11 if we're still short, then starting on the first trash, hopefully getting to BFB for when Red arrives at 8. (I've changed the wing order slightly as I feel lightning trash is easier.)

I'll have to change my Sig cause that BRG lvl 75 causes confusion. My BRG is indeed lvl 75 BUT only comes off the shelve in fun times or when I’m familiar with the content. If you really need her I can take her along but with unknown and, almost surely, not pleasant consequences. :X

Might be a bit of a learning curve with this as I certainly havent done much CCing on my hunter other than the occasional root and bard's arrow, I would imagine most are in the same boat. I hope they fixed all the old bugs like CC skills enabling auto-attack when used?

Not sure how useful combat traps will be. I assume it is classified as a root and assuming we are starting with a rain of thorns which should give most mobs root/trap immunity.

Actually with a 30 second root, 30s daze, and 15 second fear hunters are very potent when dealing with adaption based immunity. Does anyone know if the trash mobs can be slowed to help with any kiting?

Indeed, not everything has adaptation, so there is a chance we'll be needing roots a bit faster than the cooldown. We shall see how we go, but should be a fun experiment :)

Ironically about a week ago i deconstructed a special bow that I'd built with CC legacies on it.. it was only a lvl 65, but still.

I think this is a great idea, but I would ask the group to be patient with us over the first few pulls :)

So what is the 'best' you can get distracting shot to assuming legacy and trait? 45s daze with a 30s cooldown?

I think the cooldown on RoT is 3 mins right?

I think it is 30s Daze 15s CD at it's best. (Although not 100% LOTRO wiki seems to be out of date)

Base 10s daze, 2min(?) CD
Traited 30s daze, 30s CD
Legacy 30s daze, 15s CD

Base is 10s, 3mins CD ,,,traited removes 150 secs.

But yes...30s daze on 15 sec CD is achievable.... baring in mind that the induction is 1.5 secs. So to mezz 2 targets a) the second target won't be mezzed for 16.5 seconds and b) each cycle will have an up period of 1.5 secs (probably 2 seconds given there is some human interaction required!!)
