Hmm £50 for the special ed or £20 for the regular, the only thing that caught my eye in the special edition was the mention of "3 Free in-game items of your choice!"

I wonder if thats any item in game just now or sumthin else..

Don't know, but I want one. CM is just not accepting my credit card for some odd reason. They probably implemented their CC system poorly.

Collectors Edition has been confirmed for US, not for us. Last Collectors Edition (Shadows of Angmar) was a fiasco. Half the items were not included and all benefits outside the game were removed.

Hi guys,

Just to confirm that the three packs we announced yesterday (Expansion, Special Edition and Compilation Edition) are the only packs that we are planning on releasing for Mines of Moria at present.

Can save yourselves £5 and order from Amazon, strangely enough they are selling the compendium for the same price as the standard expansion saving £20 not that it is of any great benefit to anyone who already has the original.

The problem with the competition came down to legality if i remember correctly; it was something to do with competition entry procedures and international law for all european countries which became really messy. In the end due to certain international laws and likely a whole other set of problems, they had to ditch the whole 'find a ring, win goodies' concept and even had to extend the competition from anyone who bought that version of the game, to anyone in that country who registered, regardless if they had the game or not. This took many many months to sort out and generally irritated everyone involved. I never bothered to find out what happened and i think they tried to brush the whole incident under the rug a bit.

Doubtful they'll be in any real rush to repeat this fiasco as it would run into similiar issues and you know that people would complain if they were given a package like the american version but without X, Y and Z; just safer to ignore that version of the game entirely. From my point of view, it depends on exactly what the bonus items are (all i've heard is something along the lines of selecting 3 from a list of 9) rather than having items pre-assigned based on who you purchased from.
