I have a question, well more of a clarification =p , so i get that your saying you basically call on which gem u wish to roll on, is it as plain as that? u can call and roll on only one single gem and if u dont win the one u decided to go for thats it ya cant roll on any others you might be after, 1 shot win or lose

what if... nobody happens to call or say chest and 4 ppl have pre determined to roll for the legs, those 3 that dont win leggings, could they roll on the chest if they needed it and in the event that nobody else picked to roll for the chest beforehand.

thats all, i'll probably read this back to myself later and say wft was i talking about lol

cheers bothorn.

It's difficult to clarify exactly in writing but here goes.

Before we start the raid, I'll ask everyone to send me a tell with the gem they desire. If none sign up for one of the gems (boots being the exception here), I'll notify all in raid chat and we'll have a free roll on them.

Sorry if i missed the point but what is the point in this point system lol.
I see you said its basically a hall of shame, is that all it is then nothing else but to highlight the lucky?
Just curious heh , cheers.

*edit* i see now i think, as you have listed it for example with yourself as 200 and me as 120, does that mean if we both rolled on shoulders next week u would be doin a /roll out of 200 and i would be rollin a /roll 120 therefore giving you a better chance to win? and if i lost i would be able onto /roll 140 next time.

This section was added because there have recently been a lot of cases where people are waiting several weeks for gems. Several gems seem to be in high demand where others are basically free to take. To prevent situations like Fredric's (6 attempts at gloves and counting), mine (5 attempts at shoulders and counting) and Joerg's (5 attempts at Leggings) from happening too much, thus leaving those involved with an overall bad feeling, we decided a change was really required.

After one missed roll, you don't really have a big benefit over others. Once you are on a bad streak, the bonus really starts kicking in to help you advance in the gem rolls. As Raedwulf mentioned in another thread, the bonus for a missed roll was initially a lot higher, leaving a big disadvantage for PUGs. This seemed the solution all raid leaders could accept and would be fair to all.

Exactly :). And once you've won the gem, you're back on 100 like everyone else.

Sword of Thrang and Balrog loot
These fights are very difficult, require a solid group and intense concentration. The loot for these guys is really worth while, but I think it requires some changes to the loot rules above.
The Sword of Thrang can only be obtained by accepted members who signed up in advance.[/*:m:3s7s0f9j]
The Balrog Shoulder gems can only be obtained by accepted members who have at least 5 other pieces of the set.[/*:m:3s7s0f9j]
The Balrog Weapon/Shield gems can only be obtained by accepted members who have at least 5 other pieces of the set (or Helegrod set).[/*:m:3s7s0f9j]
Any teals dropped by the Balrog can only be obtained by accepted members who signed up in advance.[/*:m:3s7s0f9j]
The Balrog trophy can only be obtained by accepted members who signed up in advance.[/*:m:3s7s0f9j]

It sounds good for me ,cause there are poeples going o for Wig Feld, Glorfindels band, Thrangs sword only ;)

It's safe to say you won't benefit Morwing. PUGs and pending members have very low chances of being selected for a Balrog run.I cannot and will not risk bringing someone who I do not know. By the time someone is accepted as member, they will have been along on at least one full Rift run, meaning they will have experience with difficult situations.
