This is a one day raid for now as I'm not sure if I'll be available for a second day or night - but it is not entirely impossible that I might post a followup raid eventually, but it'll be in a seperate thread.


I expect all to bring:

Ample amounts of morale/power/level 75 curing potions.
Ample stocks of food.
Battle and Warding Scrolls.
Hope tokens.
Your radiance gear (min. 115, but more will be preferred).
I will also expect you to:

Be on time.
Join the RRU Teamspeak server in advance.
Stick to disciplined use of voice when in combat.

To everyone: I do realise that it has been a little while since our last Barad Guldur raid, and I do realise that we have several people stepping inside the tower for the first time... nevertheless the ambitions are high and we will be aiming for managing the Challenge Modes, so please bring your best game (and your supplies and coins for repairs! :twisted:).

To the three rune-keepers: One of you will be healing. Let me know if any of you particularly cherish that role - and if you have the traiting and gear you feel you need for it.

To the three reserves: Experiences show that it can be very hard to find a replacement on the fly on an afternoon run if one in the raid is missing or is having technical issues, so if you can please hover around at the start hour as it would be much appreciated.

Here's a precis of events for you .....

They ran the Gauntlet but had D/C or partial D/C's from 2 people but made it through. One "long" D/C before Durchest meant that I stepped in to help.

Durchest done in Hard Mode with only 1 death :)

We then started the 2nd gaunlet, had 2 (or was it 3) wipes due to unfortunate pulls etc.

Got the the "Cross Roads from Hell" and cleared 1-2 of the Guards but then had more D/C issues and then my own time was limited. Hirion took a role call and we decided to call it quits (however it was 5pm GMT by then)

Not much to add to Hal's post.

I found it a very nice start doing the first Gauntlet and Dûrchie HM despite disconnects, several people in the instance for the first time and me being rusty (not having done this bit for many weeks).

We hit a downward spiral on the second Gauntlet - one part by accidental misfires causing two wipes and then by disconnects and people having to leave. However, still good practice for people new to the place and for people needing to refresh it (myself included).

We do have Lock 1 and I had hoped to do a followup raid but work etcetera is a bit much at the moment, so if anyone want a go on Wednesday the lock is there of the taking. Incidentally I just got the first few hours off tomorrow morning (the people I was to teach prevented by the snowfall here), which might leave a slim chance that I'll try an impromptu followup tonight if enough interested are online.
