Nope... there won't be a standalone patcher...

As of the last post I remember reading on the subject, there weren't any plans to make a stand-alone patch for F2P. At the moment, the only two options I know of are the full install download or autopatcher :roll:

Well a forum chat with a US dude was announced by Satine to happen @ 11.00AM and shortly after that the forums went 503.

the patching started off slow but ended up gettin ma full dl speed only problem is now i'm updated and theres no servers online .

I used the Pando to download the full client yesterday - and I'm fully patched now just waiting for the servers to pop their doors.

well patch took about an hour (and quite a bit of that was actually 'applying preloaded updates' or somesuch) - and no server :P
Bets on when they'll get those up? ;)

Yes - the patch servers have been up for a while.. Although I decided to go for a clean install and downloaded the client last night.

The patch went smoothly and quickly for me. Now the mostly patient wait for the servers to come up. :P

Well their billing support is still there, and fast; account was somehow changed from lifetime to standard fp2 (on cog accounts, which I had checked for something to do!), they fixed it already, so that's something on this end at least.

Seems the only way to get updates at the moment is to follow CM staff's Twitter accounts (ugh!). Dnote has tweeted (I feel dirty using that word :P):

We believe the forum issue is completely unrelated to everything and just sheer bad luck it decided to die today :(and

First worlds to come up will be [DE] Anduin, [EN] Withywindle and [FR] Sirannon! Though no ETA on exactly when they are coming up...

I think Dnote said on ....*shudders*....twitter... that if leave the patcher open it will recover from that, but then later says to restart the launcher


If there are still people with the hash error, when we uploaded the new file it went to a central location and will take time to seed out

So I guess its a timed thing then, that was from Dnote on the horror that is twatter

Yeah, a staggered launch makes a lot of sense, as even now the influx of players seems to be randomly bringing worlds down. Even if we get on tonight, it could be a bumpy ride.

Looks like login queues aren't the problem but the status notification of the servers. Next time test with more then 1 preview server? ;)

Ok so I tried to get my client updated ealier before noon.. no luck got 'an error generating the Hash code for a patch file' a couple of times so thought bah.. i'll try later on..

So I come to try later on and I get the same error! i'm doomed! :evil:

EDIT: Found solution after I managed to get the Community Forums loaded up :D

I'd forgot that I had changed certain things in the LOTRO folder prior to having to reinstall the whole OS and LOTRO.. so some of the exe's within the LOTRO folder were not set to run as Administrator even though i'm in an Administrator account. Darn loopey settings if you ask me :P

Slightly confusing that the same error was seen by Codemasters as just an error you needed to keep restarting your client to try and avoid :P Seems like theres a few reasons for getting this error.

Edit 2: Right while its patching I guess I make some food and when I come back should be all ready *fingers crossed* :P
