I still go to school since I'm only 17 years old, in summer break 18, and I follow Healthcare sience (it's a pre-study to any social proffesion or job). I enjoy playing Fantasy games and fell in love with LOTR the first time i saw the films. My hobbies are model painting (DeAgostini, LOTR mini-figures), collecting all sort off stuff and basketball.

This is me in the shortest of short.
Hope I will see you ingame soon

Mae Govannen,

I am a 25 years old girl from Warsaw, Poland, IRL going by the name Ola.
Current I am studyin IT and writing my degree work on Philisophy (should have been finished last year but... well, I played too much...).

I am adicted to MMORPGs, my Cat (named Kot, which means simply "cat" in polish) and red tea; the two latter may complicate our meetings: Cat by trying to find a suitable possition on my lap, naturally during Thorog fight, and my cup of tea by... being empty. I can't go on without my tea, so - as some of you have probably already noticed - I often "go to get some tea". ^^

I've been plaing a number of online games, including Mu (eeeeew, how could I... its beyond me), L2, Guild Wars, Rose even. I really hope Turbine can make LotRO going for years into the future, as I don't like to switch games - I immerse with m y characters a lot.

See you in-game!

Halendur
26 Jun 2008, 12:42
Hello,

I'm Heiko, I'm 25 years old and I started playing LotRO in May 2008. My first and main character is Halendur, he is a level 36 human captain. At this moment I don't have any other characters. Some people think it is boring to play a human character, but this is far from the truth. The diversity of the captain is the characteristic I like the most and I love leading a group during a fellowship. The crafting skill I chose for my captain is the crafting of weapons. At this moment Halendur is working on his artisan weaponsmithing skills.

Mostly I'm playing solo, but I do like the tactics that are involved during a fellowship quest. Especially the usage of fellowship skills is fun. You sometimes wish you could see the faces of your fellows when you've set a fellowship skill that summons an Oathbreaker (or two :)) and they are surprised to see that helping hand in battle.

I like roleplaying, but I don't do die hard RP. The level of RP on the Laurelin server is just the amount I like. Another aspect of the game I like is that a lot of players are reasonably mature and don't behave childish (although sometimes... :S). The fact that Annon Amrath is a mature kinship made me decide that this kinship could be a kinship that fitted me well.

I'm a looney! :) Oh, you wanted more than that? :N If I were rich I'd be eccentric, but I'm not, so I'm just mad...

Oh, alright then...

I'm Mike Watkinson, originally from London I now reside in the East Anglian Fens (it's flat & damp & windy - should sound familiar to the Dutch). I'm 40 & answerable to no-one, which is why I'm a sad bastard & have levelled out all 5 of my alts, oh yes! LOTRO is my first online game. I'd never really felt tempted before, because I never fancied dealing with spotty adolescents going "n00b". Then my brother told me about LOTRO coming out. I've been on since day one of Open Beta & you see that disappearing into the distance? {points} That's my life, that is!

Always been a massive LOTR fan (though I hate the films - don't ask!), so naturally I joined. Also now started on AoC, but that's been released at least 3 months too early in my opinion, so it's pretty low-key for me at the moment. No other online games, but I've been around home computing since the ZX80, ZX81, & the good old Speccy! In Real Life (yes I do find time for one) I'm an analyst / programmer, a re-enactor (Medieval, used to be Dark Ages originally), an archer (longbow, naturally), a medieval martial-artist, a musician (other people annoy you by playing their in-game lute; I do it by playing a real one down the mic!), & far too many other things to mention!

Well.....it's about time I did this...kept forgetting/putting it off.

In RL my name is Tim Hysom and I live in the UK. I am 38 years old and married with 3 kids which is why weekend raiding has become increasing difficult for me. For those of you who care I'm 6'6" (that's 200cm for you johnny foreigners) and despite all the wrinkles I don't think I look too old (pic in the new forums if you can get there - lol )

I have a job and I think I'm paid a stupendous amount of money to read RRU forums all day :)

I have never played an MMORPG before Lotro and I actually still find it difficult to remember the social side of things (tend to solo a lot still) I am however a massive fan of LOTR and always have been, however I'm not a fanatic and I don't get into the technical, language or history side of things (although yes I've read the Silmarilion). I've just had to throw away my first ever set of LOTR books as they were "too" well read.

While I'm at it I think my LOTRO days are numbered and by the end of the year I'm probably not going to be around much - Boo Hoo :'(

As much as i despise all forms of personal interaction and go so far as to issue death threats to my friends when they ask how my day has been, i may as well offer some details. Just don't trust a single thing i say of course :)

My name is Frazer Richardson (and i've actually had people add me to their msn lists thinking i'm a famous footballer...), i've lived my entire life in England, currently in Buckinghamshire, but still consider my hometown Berkhamsted (small little town no-one has ever heard of it seems) even though i haven't been there in years. I'm 23 and preparing for a PhD placement ('preparing' to be read as avoiding work unless i can find something better to do, such as watching the lights on the router flicker or daydreaming about paint drying), so often drift over to the forum when i'm looking for an excuse not to work. Like Sil, i have a cat who is plotting my downfall (as all cats do) by falling asleep on the keyboard while i'm using it, or trying to chew my hair while we're fighting the rog. Its not all bad though, i do get a regular supply of headless critters on my doorstep.

Played a few free MMORPG's years ago, but typically not for longer than a few days/weeks. Only ones i've paid for are Asheron's Call (which still remains my favourite game, probably because it was my first MMORPG and played it with close friends; sentimental value and the like...) and Guild Wars, although i feel that was more a single player game with muliplayer tagged on.

Seemingly like Hal, theres a fair chance that in a month or two i'll be too busy with work to play much, if at all, which has been the main reason i've not volunteered to be a raid leader (that and i'd go mad with power and kick people who do not address me as 'Oh great and powerful master', or have the nerve to roll double digits even with me being allowed to roll 17 times), but i don't know at this stage, so i'll take a wait and see approach.

Ow all right then. *mutters*

http://tweakers.net/ext/f/daHKMi8fPK0v5WG2ShYDBwPw/thumb.jpg (http://tweakers.net/ext/f/daHKMi8fPK0v5WG2ShYDBwPw/full.jpg)My name, in case you failed to spot it on my LinkedIn, is Bas Scholts. I live in the Netherlands, born and raised there. I do have a tendency to fill in my place of birth wrong, as I only lived there for the first 5 months of my life, so I never count that. I consider myself born and raised in Eindhoven, the cradle of technology in the EU. Due to recent events (a creative user of the search features here might be able to find out) I am currently living in Uden, a small village (they call themselves city) some 30km north of Eindhoven. I'm 21 years young, born on October 1st. As it turns out, it's the same day as Joerg's birthday. Coincidences ey?

During my daily sleep-timejob, I am a web developer. Being the type of person I am (lazy), I work with PHP/MySQL/HTML/CSS/JavaScript only, as I don't feel like spending a lot of time scouring documentation to find that one function I need, to find out it doesn't exist. The good part about that; I've more or less become a walking manual for PHP and most of MySQL functions. The guys at the office are so happy with me.

http://tweakers.net/ext/f/25e59767caede2d434fcb64b3fb8ea0e/thumb.jpg (http://tweakers.net/ext/f/25e59767caede2d434fcb64b3fb8ea0e/full.jpg)As some of you have heard on Teamspeak, I'm troubled by my sister's cat always nagging to go outside at the most terrible times. I really don't care much about the creature. My dog is #1 here. In case you're wondering, this is him (click thumb for large version). He's a Labrador, 8 years old. When people see him, they somehow always think he's about 2 years old. To tell the truth, I think he's gotten stuck at that age mentally. He's amazing O+

This is my first ever MMORPG, if you won't count online text RPGs, otherwise known as MUD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MUD)s or Multi User Dungeons. I started those games back in the glorious days when I got my first broadband internet connection in 1996 (at a whopping 4Mb/s, it was quite fast). After a year or two playing these, I teamed up with a friend who played the same MUD and we decided to make our own. It didn't last too long, we did not have enough people willing to help build an immersive world.

After a period of FPS games, Call of Duty and it's sequals, I received an invitation to participate in the Beta for this game. The rest, as they say, is history.

Hmmm this is embarrassing; I'm older than all of you, in fact, at 52, mostly I'm older than two of you, then again in game I guess we're all the same age so who cares...

In the real world I still live just North of Edinburgh (Scotland). Played EQ2, SWG briefly and Guild Wars, still playing AoC and Star Trek Online. I've had a year out now from LotRO but resub'd about 3 days ago, so just thought I'd drop in and say hi. Hope to see you in game, think I still remember how to log into the RRU channel.

Personal Information, How Personal.

Well in the real world people know me as Lee Orchard, I am 23 and live in England in a village called Steventon which is about 10 miles from Oxford.

Lord of the rings is the first MMO I have played avidly, I breifly tried that other MMO but as soon as I heard about Lord Of The rings Online I left the other MMO streoght away.

I work in software support providing support to a piece Library Management Software. Its not as boring as it sounds.

I enjoy the usual things 23 year olds do. Going to the pub, going out on the town and just hang around with mates.

I also have been playing the Drums for 7 years and have recently started playing the Guitar. At the moment I can play the main cord's to Island in the sun by weezer, Anything thing you want by Roy Orbison, Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult.

And as for guitar solo's im learning the begining solo to One by Metallica but I can play the Top Gun Theme, The main riff from The Riddle by Nik Kershaw, Beat It By Micheal Jackson, The F1 Theme (The Chain by Fleetwood mac) and lastly the theme from the Lord of the Rings Movies.

There I think that about raps it up.

Ah, if we're talking about instruments, i'm a guitarist as well (acoustic), been playing on and off for about 15 years now (stopped for about 5 years after my guitar was stolen for the second time :(). Few of my favourite pieces i can actually play are typically solo guitar songs, such as

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0wVP4UrgpE - One of my favourite arrangements of this song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DysJ3XSayGM - Just an absolute classic piece (although often credited to clapton, its not his piece, it was however the best version i could find without effort :))
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5D5XTZLxLc - One of those songs which is meant to be changed by everyone who plays it (one of the reasons i have to laugh when someone claims another person is playing it wrong)

Always enjoy hearing about the creative pursuits of others, very interesting to find out what people get up to in their spare time, also find it encourages me to keep practicing my own hobbies

Well here goes.

Name: Walter
Age: 37
Place: Velserbroek, the Netherlands
Gaming: Since my first Commodore 64
I used to play mostly FPS before. Tried WOW for a time but didn't like it. LOTRO is the first MMORPG that got me hooked (not so much that I forgot my private live tough). For me LOTRO is a way of relaxing after a day's work at a bank for very rich people, where I have a job as test-engineer. My other free time is consumed by my wife, the jobs around the house and some sport activities, trying to stay in reasonable shape.

*sets an english accent*

Well hello there jolly fellows,

*english accent off*

my name is Michal Skukalek (hence the nick), i'm 28 and am from Slovakia, work and live in Bratislava. Been playing mmo's for a couple of years, but mostly wow (ack!).

Actually i played lotro right after release, but somehow lost interest (and now i bang my head against a wall for doing that). So after getting bored to death with wow, i tried aoc (lasted like 4 hours). And then a friend of mine told me he had picked up lotro, so i went and reactivated my account roughly a month ago and am having a blast!

I also play EVE online now and then (but mostly just change skill training, somehow i can't get myself to cancel account :X).

I'm a huge JRRT fan, and liked the movies too for the most part. Read everything by him i could get my hands on (including short stories).

I just hope noone tries to make a Silmarillion movie to ruin my imagination of the first and second age hehe.

Currently i play a champ, but i also rolled a captain in fear that the champs sole role is DPS, which might get boring for me at 60. (played a fury dps warrior in wow, so i kinda subconsciously compare those two). From what i hear about captains, they're a blast after MoM and can fill a variety of roles, so that might be better for me in the long run. Also, as i heard, there's a shortage of capts in the kinship. Taking it easy at the moment tho, we'll see in the future.

I urge you all to bear with my stupid, noobish and redundant questions and if it bothers you, just tell me to shut my piehole, i tend to get annoying sometimes.

I was a member of Sid eb Yside kinship for a few weeks, but that didn't turn out really good, so i left and from what i've experienced in the last couple of days, there's nothing better i could've done :Y

Check the sig for my chars, see you ingame folks!

KHAZAD AIMENU!

Firstly, I'll have a pint of Tanglefoot please. :D

My name is Paul I am a fourty something Engineer from West London.
In real life I am a Hobbit from Tuckborough well at least I think I am.
This is my second MMO, DDO being my first. I am/was an old school pencil and paper RPGer and Tolkien fan.

I would class myself as a mature (bumbling), enthusiastic (first to run into trouble), steady paced (slow at learning) player. I love the social side of the game as well as getting stuck into a meaty encounter. I am not affriad to die and have proved that on many occasion :P

I tend to ask the stupid questions first so as to save the blushes of the less thick skinned.
In my spare time I like motorcycles especially the 2 stroke veriety and am on the committee of an international motorcycle club.

I've been playing LOTRO since the second wave of Beta (and I still don't know what I am doing ;) ). I have been a member of Sanctuary since I started playing and I am an officer, but don't hold that against me.

I look forward to seeing you in game.

Hi all, haven't been here in ages, so thought I'd put my head around the door and wave!

I'm David, I'm from Australia but currently living in London with my fiancee, trying to save enough money to do a round the world trip for our honeymoon!

LotRO is my main vice, but when I'm not playing I'm generally down my local drinking Guinness, watching Arsenal or at work wishing I was doing one of the above!

Hope to see you around Middle-Earth soon!

short about me..

I´m a 31 yo male located in Sweden. I´ve played mmorpgs for 7 or 8 years now.. started out with WoW, moved on to Vanguard and finally landed here in LOTRO. Done a lot of WoW raiding and Vanguard raiding but not so much in LOTRO (yet) and always preferred the tanking classes as my main class throughout my gaming history.

the little spare time I dont use sitting in front of the computer ( :D ) I like to shoot pool or play golf.

now that I started to get to know some of you by grouping together in various instances Im very pleased that I applied to RRUS (and glad you accepted me ofc). So far I have had nothing but good times with RRUS and I look forward to future happenings of all kinds.

Hey all,
Martin here, hailing from the wet and windy Ireland. Been playing various MMOs since beta Ultima Online (How I hated dial-up!). Pc gaming being my main area of gaming, but I do occasionally play RPGs etc on the Xbox 360. I enjoy scuba diving as my only vaguely active sport :)

Thanks for having my very nubbly Lore-master (Sasriel) on the Turtle run this evening, was a fast, furious and fun 1st real raid for me (that's why I choose the turtle head over the coin as a keepsake, mad I know!), thanks for organising it Hirion! Hopefully I'll catch on quick enough to the needs of a raid group with the LM, while working my burglar up.

From spain , married 1 8 age child, 42 years old, lover of all role playing games and lotro on top of them , katerine is the alpha member of the MAnofirme family, we have been here from 2 weeks before game was released, we passed a lot of time toguether (( goods and bads ones )), actually our family as grown up to 7 katerine, jena, capolator , malicia , nurmond, adrio and inquisidor, each one specialized on a diferent craft and rol into my chars family.

Actually i am looking for a stable group of players, kind ones that help one each other and face the hardests challenges that lotro gives up the oportunity to enjoy. not quite focused on item farming most enjoying the game itself, if i could join ur group i'll be glad.

rhone and ontaremakil talked me about ur alliance, i'll be proud to be part of it.

thanks in advance.

Well, since I won't be able to join you in-game for a while I guess I'll contribute to this thread instead...

I'm a 25yrs old male originally from sweden but lived in greece since early 2005 working in the charter business sailing and taking care of yachts both summer and wintertime.

Started playing lotro november 2008 cos I had alot of free time last year and I needed something to do before the release of darkfall. Since darkfall failed and lotro is one of the better mmos around atm I decided to stick with middle-earth.

Picked up mmos end of 98 when I first found out about ultima online.. got completely hooked to my parents big disappointment (telephone bills was only one of the problems) but I obviously couldnt care less.... Continued with star wars galaxies from 2003 to 2007 and eve-online from 2006 up til... well still maintaining skill training...

Decided to apply to RRU some time ago because my kinship arent much for raids and we only have a few players who actually knows what they're doing.
Being a bit of a powergamer I'd rather get out there with players who's determined to actually beat challenges and not just give them a try for the fun of it..

Havent had much time to come on raids yet but Im hoping it'll get better once the season is over here and I get a couple of weeks off before the winter yacht maintenance race starts again...

And thats all..

I'm AJ.
From the north of England (unfortunately hehe). Turned 21 last month.
I'm a music student at the moment, hoping to go into teaching.
I'm also occasionally one of those sad people you see playing piano in hotel restaurants... and no, I do not do requests.

Only started playing LotRO about 3 months ago, been through various characters, originally a hunter but got to 28 and deleted it until eventually I settled on a Burg and loved it and am currently lvl 56 (almost 57)

I'm not really into RPing, I just picked Laurelin at the suggestion of a friend who said the players were a little more mature on RP servers, which so far as I've seen has been the case :)

First got into MMOs a few years ago when my boyfriend at the time introduced me to Runescape... why I stuck with that grindfest up to the level 90s I've no idea.

After that I mainly played various other free-to-play MMOs until I picked up LotRO ... which is kinda free to play cos I'm a lifer hehe.

Only raid experience so far has been Helegrod, which was awesome fun and look forward to running it again soon.

Don't think I'm much help for anything else until I hit lvl 60 but I'm looking forward to learning about all the other raids/instances.
I'm sure I'll be a regular once I hit 60 8-)
Shouldn't take me too long now.

Look forward to meeting the rest of you.

Hej ^_^

Seeing as I have yet to post here and it's a boring, rainy day.. I might aswell! Where do we start.. oh! We start by you all giving me all the muffins you can find. <3

And then I figure I'll tell you my name an' stuff. ;) G'day, my name's Anne, am 21 years old and thereby actually one of the younger members of the RRU. :p I love many things, the most noticable ones being my love for muffins, ofcourse, which I bake myself aswell. Blueberry is still my favourite.. especially if dyed green. :p I also love animals (with the mere exception of bugs.. which I'm dead scared of, like a girl should be. ;)) .. I ride horses every week and by such I'm collecting all the in-game horseys I can find too. :D

As many of you have already noticed, I'm everything but sane and serious. I also have a bit of an ADD problem and am therefor usually found being called out by a raidleader for being the last to respond to a ready-check. This probably is because I got distracted and am looking at pictures of kitties or something like so. :p

I also have a dog, whom loves to annoy me when I'm trying to be serious and raid .. wonderful little creature. Err, what more, what more.. Lotro! Yes.. no. Muffins? Eeeemm.. I guess I started playing lotro almost two years back now, but I'm still quite clueless on some things and am an everlasting noob. ^_^

Now, I reckon that's enough for everyone to know.. oh, let me state one thing: I am female, I come in peace, now stop calling me male! :P

Da da little piglets!
I'm off to have muffins <3

Greetings all!

So... I'm Cel and I live in Sweden (Malmo). I'm 34 years old and I have 2 children (my son is 5, my daughter is 15, and she is a LOTRO-player as well). I've been playing this game for 1 1/2 years, and it's my husbands fault I'm in this mess :P. (*kisses Anaeth/Fenguil/Ariabereth*)
When I don't play, I like books, movies and to spend time with family and friends. But i must confess.... I play alot!!! To much maybe... But its so darn fun...
I'm addicted to coffee and on a normal evening in Moria I need at least 6 cups of coffee . So when you all are on bio and smoke-break I'm in the kitchen making latte...
What else? I have 2 cats and they are really old!!

Well that was all for now. Hope to get to know you all soon.

hello everyone.

Jay from Croatia here, I'm 25. Pencil pusher by trade, an all-time musician and a no-time cheap programmer (late freshman as of recently).

I've been with lotro since release, in and out. A decent healer, a very poor tank, and not so imaginative loremaster. I've got a dead eye, but the fingers know their stuff (1-heal, 2-another kinda heal, 3-what the hell is 3). A mini gets around in this game, but it's been some years since i did raids on a regular basis. Instances, well, if i gots time, i gots the will to help, and if i gots enough smokes I wont complain about wipe-reruns.

Not big on all the RP craze on the server, I don't mind it tho and can manage if pressed, and I definitely don't mind the people on Laurelin, which have always proven to be of a decent and friendly sort (not something you can usually find on the Web)

Cheers
Jay.

Hi all.
Laura from UK , 21 yo , I live with 2 weirdos ahhm that is my boyfriend and flatmate. I work with children, looking after babies and I loves it. I also live with 2 kittens called Lola and ROFL (you read it right).

I've played LOTRO since end of 07 so way too long and far too much. I was a big rift-er at level 50 but sort of lost momentum with the Watcher and DN.

When I'm not playing I mostly just talk a lot (hard for Zaha to belive) or watch TV etc. Or go out for walks or window shopping.

Look forward to meeting everyone

Hello to all,
Okay well I guess I should start with my name... James, I am 27 yo guy and a diagnostic scientist living in SE London, UK.

Been here in London for just over a year now and enjoying almost every minute of it so far - so much to see and do.I live with 4 house mates (all girls I must be mad) in an old Victorian town house which is really nice and has plenty of room. Before moving to London I was pretty much a county boy so it was a big change to move to the 'big smoke!' But well worth it.

Been playing Lotro since beta sending in quite a few bug reports etc, but I think I must have been cracked over the head when I took part in stress testing *pulls out hair*. I started playing about two months in to live though due to many reasons - been playing ever since.

Hi all!

I'm Tomislav from Croatia, age 38, married, 2 kids. I'm playing LotRO since 2008 (at least I think) but was playing on Snowbourne server. So far I played/tried Guild Wars, WoW, EVE Online and Age of Conan where I was heavy involved into raiding in alliance quite similar to RRU. Otherwise I'm working in a local cable TV/ISP company.

Nothing much more to say. After being disappointed in AoC I quit and resubed for LotRO and transfered my main character here. I'm currently one of the officers in kinship Riders of the Riddermark.

I've heared about you from a player with who I was doing 16th Hall instance in pug a few days ago. I'm looking forward to some great raiding expiriences and loads of fun with all of you guyz/galz.

*waves*

Hello there Im Bootsy a female Hobbit minstrel from Frogfurlong, The Shire.

*shift to real world*

My name is Carl, 40 years old male and I live in East Yorkshire, UK.
I have a wife (she does play LoTRo but prefers Aion) and 4 kids.
I've been playing LoTRo since November 2009 and tend to solo my way through the game.
A female Min wasn't my idea of a toon to level, she however took over and my original main got sidelined at lvl 21.

I am relatively new to the MMO world having only played one other (Shaiya) where I was a tank (on all my characters) So being a healer is new to me too.

I started RP with paper and pencil, D&D, AD&D and various other long forgotten RP games.

I dont do quests, seriously! I only do the bare minimum e.g epic and reputation. I dislike the "hand-holding" feel they give. It's like a parent showing the way.
I am a grinder, good solid "smack 'em til they stop" gaming.

Anything else you would like to know? Give me a shout and I'll do my best to answer.

Heya,

my name's Kostas, I live on Crete in Greece and I've been playing on and off for 2-3 years...
I'm 32 years old and owner of my own shop (which sometimes gives me plenty of time to play and other times not).

Love the game to bits and I play when I can without overdoing it.
I love traveling so at any chance I get, I grab the girlfriend and the car and drive all over Crete exploring and finding new beaches, mountains and ravines :)

I also love watching movies though I try to avoid Hollywood crap.

I've done every instance in the game apart from the raids... so I'm here to meet interesting people and travel into interesting places of the lotro world :)

I'm a quick-learner and currently addicted to my lovely warden who I've dedicated a lot of time and effort to learn how to play properly... :)

anyway, enough with the boring stuff...give me a shout in game!

Hey all,

I'm Garatir, 36 I think. Father of 2, parent of 4 (you know how it is) and a musician from Brighton, UK... it's by the seaside, 40 miles south of London.

I first read The Lord of the Rings in 1982 at 9 years old... so it had a fairly huge effect on my world-view.

On the way to job interviews I take short-cuts through gloomy corridors & persuade dead warriors to write me references. When lovers pledge their hearts I regularly sacrifice my immortality, and whenever huge fire-breathing Balrogs pop up, threatening my precious (usually on the 2.45am train from London Victoria) I thrust my staff into a Victorian viaduct & shout "you shall not pass!" before plunging into mortal battle in the subterranean depths.

Hello!

Hey everyone,
My friends call me Sun as my given name is somewhat unpronounceable by non-Greeks and carries the meaning for "Sunday" anyway... :)

I hail from Athens, Greece and when I feel like bashing some orc skulls, I login in LotRO and join my online friends in Laurelin.

My alter ego is called Thraendur, but I've been known to roam the land under different names as well.
I've been playing since a bit after the launch of LotRO. My free time is limited but I like to spend it with my online friends as enjoyably as possible!
Looking forward to fellowing with you all!

Hi there,

I'm Chris, a 36 year old doctor from Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. I've been playing Lotro since release and I think I may have run into some of you at times in the odd pug. If so, I hope I was polite and (halfway) competent :D.

Looking forward to meeting more of you in the future.

Hi - I'm Jen. I live in the NW of England, in a hobbity house on the edge of the Pennine hills. I have three kids that are grown and gone but am also part of a large and intrusive extended family. Most of my career has been in educational and special needs technology but a couple of years ago I jumped ship and went back to uni to do a Fine Art degree. So if i go quiet, I'm probably working out what I can do with an old toilet and 500 jelly babies.

I played Lotro from the start but then had several years away playing WoW and AoC. I came back this summer and realised what I'd been missing! Looking forward to meeting you in-game.

Hi there, real name is Paul, i'm 28, i'm from High Wycombe (In between Oxford and London) in the UK. I can be a bit shy at times and a complete teetotaller so you'll might find that on a fri/sat night I'll be the sanest person around. (But I do go crazy time to time just to keep things in perspective)
I'm currently single and also unemployed hence you'll see me very active during the early hours but you'll never see me until after mid-day (my parents think i'm a vampire at times)

You'll also find my dsylexir on the keyboard quite a bit so apologies in advance when you see it happen.

Hi everyone
My name is Jesper and currently live in Uppsala, Sweden.
MMO gaming carrier started back in -97 when I desperatly awaited the the graphical MUD known as Ultima Online. Don't think it was yet called a MMO. There I recided on Great Lakes up until about 2002. For a while I worked for Origin/EA as a board moderator on their official Forum, unfortunatly they closed it down.

In about 2000 I met up with some friends in Everquest and spent most of my time part of a family Kin on Torvonnilous server. For a while I was their raid leader with experience gotten from running with a high end Raiding Kin on the same server. Unfortunatly the raiding 6 days/week with 4 days/week mandatory, plus the occasional old content raiding on day 7 took it's toll. I went back to the more laid back gaming in the Family kin after killing Quarm, vowing never to spend that much time on a game again.

I checked out EQ2 when the game was in beta and stayed for a while, but not long enough to see the end game.
My experience from WAR is about the same.

Last summer I decided to start with Lotro, I started out in a Kin with members members new to the game to explore it slowly. But the Kin slowly dwindled and died. Come winter I decided to join Leaves of the Malinorni. With them loosing numbers I decided to apply here.
