Greetings,

Thank you for taking the time to visit Raids'R'Us. Before posting here to apply, please read the alliance rules (http://www.raidsrus.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1702).

We usually welcome anyone & everyone. However, bear in mind that applying makes you a Recruit. It doesn't make you a Member. You remain an applicant until you make enough of an impression for the regime to make a decision one way or the other. We get a lot of applications where people then don't follow it up with active participation. As you can imagine, we end up with a lot of Recruits that never become Members.

We do not work on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those who sign up to something first... might get picked, they might not! Read the rules, it's all in there. Be patient, join in where you can, make a good impression, and being picked will follow quite naturally.

Now, to business. To apply, please supply the following information (copy-paste to a new topic):
Character name:
Race / class:
Kinship:
LOTRO Raid experience:
Referred by:
Alts:
Why are you signing up:

This is not an interrogation. Just be honest about it. We like to know a little about you. If you haven't been referred by anyone, please let us know how you found us. :)

Greetings,

After you have posted this application, please do not rush to the Raid Schedule forum. You will probably be met by an error when trying to post. A script is running in the background, to give you appropriate permissions. This script runs every 15 minutes, so you will be waiting 15 minutes at most.

I would say I am sorry for any inconvenience caused, but I would be lying .

A couple of small points for those of you applying, or whose title still says "Recruit"...

1) When we say "Welcome aboard", it doesn't mean you're a Member. It means you're a new bug, you are welcome, but you'll stay a recruit until the Trustees decide otherwise. Hopefully, that means until you are accepted & we make you a Member, but it can go the other way...

2) If your application expires (100 days), you will have to make another one. The Trustees have a discussion forum for applications; if your application expires so does the discussion thread that was opened when you applied. In other words, we'll never get around to changing your status, because there's nowhere to talk about you behind your ba... I mean... Ah, hell, you know what I mean! ;) There are parts of the forum that are not available to Recruits. I'm not saying it makes a huge difference, but if you're hanging around us that much, why not make the effort? ;)
