Yet another visit at Mr. Sid. Anyone still able to keep count? Class balance is a thing of the past - I'll strive for it when able, but be prepared for alternate approaches being a possibility.

As always there is the potential of a 2nd run including reserves and alts. This is not garanteed, but if the option is there we will go for it.

Also, this week being on-call (as every third week), I'll have to add the usual caveat, that I might be, or have been, called out.





I expect all to bring:

Ample amounts of morale/power potions.
Ample stocks of food (including poison resist).
Battle and Warding Scrolls.
Hope tokens.
Useful traiting (ask if in doubt).
Your full radiance gear (Actually anywhere between 30 and 90 should do - the more the better; however don't forget that the Acid resistance of certain sets helps).
I will also expect you to:

Be on time - bringing the above consumables as well as a positive spirit in full supply.
Join the RRU Teamspeak server (whether with mic or only listening).
Stick to disciplined use of voice when in combat.

Signups
Sign up with your class/classes, whether they miss the shoulder/helmet coin (to not risk wasting them from none needing it), and whether you will be available for a second run 1-2 hours after the first (failure to do so will make me assume you are equally able to join the second as you are the first run).

Name in normal - signed up; name in bold - in the first raid; name in bold - in the second raid; name in italic - reserve; name in (italic) - in the raid but on another alt; name in strikethrough - no-show. If you need to withdraw, please confirm absence as early as possible. Also, I am using forum names so as to avoid double-booking, but look at the class and you'll be fine.

PS: I'm only one day into my watch and it's already been a hell of a time (except for the chilling temperatures) - I hope things will be calmer tomorrow, but should I have been called out I trust in you to make it without me.

Should you be available, I might opt to take you as lore-master on the first and hunter on the second (moving Mortharan to the second - which might fit his schedule too) so as to fill out two spots. Again if you're available - fully understand the circumstances. :)

Got off from a bad start, with two people more than half an hour late. By which we had finally filled the empty slots, shuffling alts and so on - it meant we were left less than a skeleton crew for the second run, so a big gratitude if owed to all those who stepped in to make the second a reality.

The first run was the smoothest encounter since Mirkwood - the second one the bumpiest. In fact I cannot recall having to call the retreat and reforming that many times since... well since last summer as we were still trying to get to grips with the fight. However this was also, without doubt one of the funniest times we've had in Casa Sid.

Of the 6 attempts or so we made my favorite will still be the one where Hakiryu went to answer the door just before the transition... with his bow trained at the remaining Shaking Tentacle. Watching an afk champions with his meager ranged autoattacks gently but steadily kill the last tentacle triggering the transition was a rare treat... No one saw it hit us really but suddenly we had the twelve Crushing Tentacles, no prepped skills and one champion limb - we all made it out alive leaving Hakiryu to the viles of Sid. :twisted:

Final score: Two dead squids and one premptive nuclear vessel. 8-)
