As every boss we encounter in the Rift usually has two to three rows of our buffs, I thought it might be quite hard to explain to first-timers how to distinguish wheter he has his buff on or not, and when to attack him.

Why is this important?

His Buff negates almost all dmg we can deal to him, it's simply a waste of time, skills and energy to attack him when it is up (f.e., Hunter's Heart-seaker, normally dealing 1k dmg or more, will deal something around 50 (fifty) dmg). Whats more, the attacks slow him down, making it more difficult to lure him onto a Volcano to take the Buff off and allow us to dps him, therefore it's very important to gather the full DPS power and unleash it on Thrang when he is voulnerable.

In short:
-when he has the Buff icon on him (the skull), stop attacking until..
-he has the Debuff icon on him (after a Volcano exploded near him, arrow-shot feet icon)

I think it might be wise to send first-timers to this thread, makes it way easier to explain what to look for and what to pay attention to.
Also, other group I've been to Rift with had a practice of simply calling out when to attack and when to stop on TS.

See you in Rift,
